Historical Context

1. Mr. Frank finds Anne's diary, has flashbacks to when they hid.(1945)
2. Anne's diary starts when they had put piles of cloth on top of each other and get anything they can(1942)
3. Mr. Frank takes Van Daans to Mr. Kraler's home, where they will hide
4. They move all their stuff to the attic, into their new home
5. They take off and burn their star of David to identify them
6. Mr. Frank gives Anne a diary, she starts to write in it
7. After a few days they get a new visitor Mr. Dussel
8. Dussel is going to stay with them
9. They are all worried about the food supply
10. After two years of staying in the attic they start to fight for food(1944)
11. A thief steals their radio and blackmails them
12. They find out Mr. Van Daan has been stealing food for two years
13. They all celebrate D-day, they all make up
14. The gestapo find the radio and asks Carl where he stole it from
15. The Franks, Van Daans and Dussel get caught and taken to concentration camps
16. Back in 1945 Mr. Frank is the only survivor
17. Anne and Margot died of typhus
18. Mr. Frank published parts of the diary in 1947
